Our colourful annual fundraiser
June is all about our pink and green annual fundraiser for Baby Necessities, which will take place on Friday 19th June 2026. On this special day, we invite everyone to wear or display Baby Necessities' colours to show support for our mission to tackle child poverty.
Why pink and green? Our signature colours carry deep meaning:
- Pink represents the love and compassion we extend to families in need, reflecting our commitment to heartfelt support.
- Green symbolises the new beginnings we help create and highlights our dedication to sustainability through reuse and recycling.
Together, pink and green embody who we are: a compassionate, eco-conscious organisation making a positive impact on people and the planet!
How you can get involved
We’re calling on workplaces, schools, clubs, nurseries, and groups of friends to join the fun and creatively fundraise for our cause!
Here are some ideas:
- Dress-down day: Encourage colleagues or pupils to wear pink and green and donate money (cash, cheque, via our JustGiving page or our PayPal link) to Baby Necessities.
- Cake sale: Bake treats with pink and green decorations and donate the proceeds.
- Quiz night: Host your own OR join us for ours!
- Crazy hair day: Let students style their hair in pink and green and donate £1 to participate.
Feel free to come up with your own ideas - anything goes as long as it’s pink and green!
Why not book a short talk or assembly about Baby Necessities, ideal for schools or community groups? Our assemblies and talks help explain who we are, what we do, and how proceeds from the annual fundraiser go towards the families we support. For children especially, we tell a sensitive but powerful social story to build empathy and help them appreciate how their participation can make a difference.
Where does your support go?
Funds raised from our child poverty fundraising efforts help us:
- Purchase essential new items like mattresses, breast pumps, nappies, and toiletries.
- Provide urgently needed items we cannot source second-hand.
Your contributions make a lasting difference, helping us continue our work year-round.
How to get donations to us
- In person: Bring cash or cheques to our HQ. We’d love to take a photo with you for your socials or newsletters.
- Online: Donate digitally via our JustGiving page - please add Gift Aid if you can too!
